WHAT DO WE DO?
United Way Worldwide has defined and prioritized three axes of action for its initiatives of impact: Education – Health – Financial Stability. UWRD incorporates these axes of prioritized actions in its strategy, transforming them into three strategic directives that orient the initiatives, programs, and projects of social impact: Education, Financial Security, and Health. For each one of these axes of action or strategic directives, we have developed the following strategic objectives:
Contribute to the development of individuals, families, and communities under the scope of UWRD programs, through transformative educational proposals that facilitate the acquisition of competencies, the creation of capacities, the encouraging of human values, and the establishing of a culture that puts the common good first.
Contribute to the financial sustainability of individuals and families under the scope of the UWRD programs, with special emphasis on those living with a high risk of economic exclusion.
Contribute to the prevention of diseases and to the development of healthy habits of individuals and families under the scope of the UWRD programs, with special emphasis on those communities living with a high risk of economic exclusion.
HOW DO WE DO IT?
The scope of action of these programs and projects is determined by the prioritized axes of action: Education, Health, and Financial Security. Two other aspects that influence the conceptual design of the programs and projects are: a) the needs identified in the prioritized communities; b) the initiatives associated with specific interests of the donors and partners belonging to our network; and c) the initiatives whose feasibility can be potentialized through the institutional resources and capacities, that are aligned with our strategic thinking.
